Hey, I have a good update!

So the moss ball developed a nasty olive-grey drab color and the surface started to look more and more puffy and abnormal (like a cotton ball that is falling apart). I took it out and trimmed off the gross parts and underneath, it was the most beautiful emerald green. I guess it was just a superficial ammonia burn.

I took the grey outer layer and balled it up into a baby marimo just to see what happens. Maybe that will revive too (???)

lol smart kid.... lol it is possible to cycle a tank with pee but thats another subject. just do a couple wcs. might have put a little too much ammonia in there lol

I would only do that if you were on a total hippie-style organic diet, and have been faithfully for years.
