I agree, thats your best shot.

And if you just want to SEE whats in the creeks i would use something other than a cast net. You kind of have to have already seen what you are trying to catch when you use a cast net.

None of that for me- just cast netting if I can't seine. I'm doing this all from the shore of a salt marsh- no convenient puddles like you've got in Florida!
