Netting Tips

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If the fish is curious enough it may just swim into the net/catcher. My betta is the easiest thing in the world to net!

there is a clear plastic "scoop" i have used in the past to catch my clown loaches. in the past ive used a net with clown loaches and its a nightmare cos they are like little missiles. with this plastic scoop it took the whole of 5 mins to catch 6 loaches.
i will post a pic if you want when i get back from work if i can find my adaptor for my sd card.

It would be great if you could post a pic, Where did you purchase it?

I generally use a big net, and follow the quick and dirty method. net 'em and bag 'em fast!

i got it by accident at one of the lfs in my area. he said it was good and it was cheap, about £3 or so. I cant find my sd card adaptor so i can get pics onto my pc. i will post a pic in a couple of days when i get a new one.

use a BIG net so easy my armatus will let me net him and i will put a feeder in the net with him and he will eat it when he sees the net he swims into it for food lol

this is the scoop i was telling you about. works wonders. not as nimble as a net but they dont see it as easily and you can herd them with a net into it as well. I know it looks very green but once its submerged it blends in quite well. i bought it with the thought i had bought more junk that didnt do what it said on the tin. you could probably make a perfectly clear (no colour) one for what i paid for this.
