Unless you expect to have them for just a few months.
In 6 weeks, my former Pacu grew to the point of picking on everything in the tank from an Oscar to a gar to a Red Devil. He wasn't viscious until the lights turned on. Then he'd stare the other fish down and one by one strike their sides. He would freak out on a regular basis and splash all over the wall. A pacu would be good for a 200+ gallon room-dividing tank. But still, you'd only be owning them 6 months at a time.
