EDIT: I love the feeder which is about to be consumed. It's the focal point of the entire photo.
 
Nice shot!Ive been trying to do that shot with my big dats....plenty of fish died in vain trying to get that shot LOL
 
I think i also need to make it clear in case anyhow got the wrong idea, the 500 failures were not exclusively from this shoot alone...it has been over years of trial and error, getting the right advice and an insane amount of practise.

I'll be the first to admit that i can't afford much fancy gear, as a student i'm perpetually strapped for cash so i really don't have much to play around with. asides from the camera body my equipment has cost me ~$500. So to me this is much more than just a picture, it's a statement that with enough determination and dedication, you can do much more than what others claim to be the limit.

this shot probably cost more than 600 lives.

If you failed 500+ times, I wonder how many feeder fish died in the process of taking this pic!

Is that a feeder fish? Looks like a piece of orange. Love the color at the edges of the fin.
