This guy is a MONSTER!
I moved him from his QT 10 gallon to his current 30 gallon long. This is only temporary until he grows a little bit more and I get some fish moved around, then he's got a 90 to himself.
But anyways- I was feeding him Kens brand cichlid/shrimp pellets, and he stuffed him mouth until I thought he was going to die! I was prepared to perform Heimlich.
Well, he got it all down- and I decided that if I am going to keep this FH (which I am) that I am going to do what I can to make him the best FH he can be.
So, I went to the pet store, and bought him some NLS food.
I came downstairs to his tank after I bought it, and he comes rushing the tank; gills flared- he's trying to intimidate me. I think nothing of it-- he is after all, 4".
I open the lid, get my fingers an inch above the water with the NLS in my fingers, and he JUMPS out of the water, and grabs my finger. I was not prepared for this to happen. I pulled my hand back; while screaming; as blood trickles down my finger...
So now, the fish must have a name...
Any suggestions? So far I've got Frankie, and Gonzo as ideas.
