I swear to God (and I don't even believe in him), I will never have Home Depot cut my wood ever again. Every single time, they mess it up. I had to take my wood back in because the last cutter messed up the cuts, this happen many times. This new guy assured me he could do it right and as he was cutting the lumber, I was measuring each piece and he still didn't get it right. I bought my first saw the same day, a Miter Saw, going to cut my own wood from now on. Jesus (another one I don't believe in) how can they mess up such a simple thing ? Don't they understand if they are off on their cuts, it messes things up for the project we are working on ? It use to drive me crazy that my pieces wouldn't line up right, until I used a tape measure and found they were incorrect. Never again...
Moral of the lesson: Cut your own wood or at the very least double, triple check your measurements, make them use your tape measure and line up where you want it. On the upside, if the measurements are off by only a hair, it's still doable, you just mush all the wood as best as it can fit, punch in a few screws and let gravity do the rest.
I cringe every time I go to Home Depot lol Nobody there seems to know much about anything.
