Actually it was uploaded on SPCA's official facebook album. In case you didn't know, SPCA is the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which is a registered animal welfare charity with IPC status. Quite famous here in Singapore, the first thing which comes to most singaporean's mind when mention about pet abuse is SPCA. So I doubt this is a hoax made by some whacko seeking attention.

As much as I hate to say it, singaporeans do... well for those who are ignorant about fishkeeping that is. I'm sure that most people here who do not participate in online fish forums such as AF or MFK don't even know what cycling it. And also they tend to overstock their tank thinking that as long as the tank can hold a fish, its big enough...

A great example is my dad... No matter how much I try to reason, he never does a water change on his tank and only turn on the filter when the water looks dirty... :duh:

Does it matter? We know that you add chlorine into the tank and fishes die. We don't know how chlorine kills fish, whether directly or indirectly. But either way, we are gonna end up with dead fishes.

You missed the point. I'm not talking about putting 29 arowana together. I'm talking about putting 29 arowana with an angel fish. Arowana people doesn't really keep them with angel fish
I'm not talking whether chlorine kills fish. I'm talking about how yucky a fish look when it exposed to chlorine

So moral of the story is don't piss off the 'help' and make sure you start to put locks on the top of the tanks:)
 
to everyone in this thread saying the lady should go tot eh same fate as the fish, or face a ton more time...


- if you accidently kill a fish, would you go to jail? NO
- if you accidently kill a person, would you go to jail? YES
-if you purposly kill 29 arowana to get back at someone, would you go to jail? YES (for a little)
- if you purposly kill 29 people to get back at someone, would you go to jail? YES (for a LONG TIME)

moral of what i just typed is : Everyone that has said she should do more time should go turn them selves in to the police. if your putting a life of a fish on the same level as a humans life, then you all have accidently commited the same crime that is "involountary manslauter/fishslauter". and WE ALL KNOW that EVERY fishkeeper has killed atleast one fish.

Actually, the reason I said her punishment should be worse is that killing a man here will get you hanged. I was comparing it to that.
