My fish all showed up yesterday. All I can say is WOW!!!!! Thats a good sized group of fish. They are all pretty small. Ranging in the 2 to 3 inch range. some may be just a little bigger but not by much. The smallest ones are the RTM's. The biggest is a toss up. They got me 2 of each fish. There would have been a total of 20 lil fish swimming in the QT tank but 2 of them didnt make it on the trip here. The vendor they got them from is sending the replacements for the 2 out next week to replace them. The 18 fish that made it are doing great. My wife did awesome helping me seeings how I couldnt do a lot yet. She got some buckets floated the bags in the tank. Then did some drip acclimation for them in the buckets before putting them in the tank. Fortunately this tank has been up and running and set up for some time. Its one of my planted tanks and so far they are doing good at getting along. They were eager to jump after some food later last night. Going after some pellets. I will see if I can post some pics soon. Believe it or not.... Just sitting here watching my new fish is relaxing and makes me feel even better.

Ive got a friend thats been coming over helping me get some of my other tanks set up. He is drilling some holes for me in some tanks and between him and my wife were getting things rolling.. Im pretty lucky to have such a cool wife thats into fish as much as I am. Im also pretty lucky for all the cool fish that were a surpise when I got back home.

SO whos dying to know what they got me. Lol...

I, for one, am.

Another thing, want to trade wives?

Well.. Here is what showed up yesterday.. 2 of each. This was my early B-day gift from my wife and my mom. Unfortunately the 2 Vieja synspilus didnt make it. They managed to poke a hole in the bag. Made me very sad as they were absolutely beautiful specimens. But The vendor is sending out replacements on monday. They all are doing VERY well and getting along great. Not alot of issues between them. Of course they are smaller, over crowded a little. I will try to get some pictures uploaded later today. Soon they will be headed to bigger tanks.

Here is a question. Internal Parasites/worms? How common are they in fish like this when new? Any specific signs to look for or should I treat them all and just plan that they need treatment?

Green Terror -Gold Saums
Vieja maculicauda - Blackblet
Vieja Argentea - Silver Cichlid
Vieja hartwegi - Tailbar Cichlid
Vieja zonatus -
Vieja synspilus-
Parachromis Motaguensis- Tiger
Parachromis Managuense - Jag
Amphilophus Labiatus -Red Devil
Amphilophus Festae - Red Terror

As far as trading wives? Does yours cook?

Very interesting combo. As said, watch the GT.

I would deworm them all at thensamw time.

My wife does not cook. She is the best meditearranen cuisine cook i know.....:)

Still up for trading, though...mine takes 6 children in th package. What a steal, heh?

Very interesting combo? That scares me. LOL.... Let me guess........... I know.. Alot of what could be hyper-agro fish............... OR it may work just fine. Never know.

Ok, Id love to hear your take/comments on the very interesting combo. I had my list of fish I liked on my computer. Just happen to be all the fish I find beautiful. (good thing she didnt find the other list it had more fish and alot meaner ones. lol)

I actually am planning on keeping the GT out of the group. Right now everyone is in there for the mandatory QT time for any treatment and observation. Ive got a 125 gallon im going to keep the GT in with some other fish that wont even bother them. Roseline barbs that are good sized and some Loaches.

My next question for you Miguel would be how or what do you recommend to do for deworming? Do you have a preference for treatment that works best?

My wife doesnt cook anything. Not even boil water. In all the years we have been together Ive always been the cook. So you can imagine right now seeings how I cant cook due to my physical issues that the food im getting is well........ Lets just say different. LOL

you have 6 children? How old? I have one. My daughter she turns 21 this year. And Yes a very good steal!!

Cant say ive ever eaten much meditearranen food. BUT I love about anything.
