So I moved all my small peacock bass and arowana into the 180 with my bigger cats and bass today since I finally got them all eating massivore pellets. Less than 12 hours later my 9 inch tsn ate my 7 inch arowana. All the small bass are back in the little tank now. Gonna have to evaluate the tank plans a bit again. Maybe a big bass tank and pond for the cats.

Yikes. Sorry to hear that. Not surprised though because arowana body shape is throat-friendly.

I do realize that you probably have combined them after the pellet training so no one starves but thought I'd mention that combining such fish is always a gamble and what they feed on is almost immaterial when compared with who fits in whose mouth.

I had 10 Zebra Danios and 5 Fancy Guppys a month ago, and now I have none....I think it was my Four-lined Pim, he's the biggest at only 4", but it had to be him

sorry for your loss

all cats are a pain, i have lost pygmy puffers to a banjo cat, pretty much everything that goes in the with the raninus has to be considered food unless it's in there a week later because you never see him never sure how big he is hahaha but he has had some pricy snacks in the shape of L no's.

So I got the other arowana that was traded in when I got the first. It's nowhere near as big as the one I lost and its fins are all tore up from whatever it was housed with. I'm hoping they grow back in as nice as my last one. Gonna need a bigger grow out tank.

Damn, sorry to hear! The same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. My 8" TSN took one of my 5 5" azuls. Threw his ass in the sump asap! Then sold him the next day. Can't trust them at all! They lay there looking all innocent until you notice one fish missing. They're hella fast when it come to feeding, no dough! Good luck with it! Got any pics?
