Never trust a catfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Damn, sorry to hear! The same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. My 8" TSN took one of my 5 5" azuls. Threw his ass in the sump asap! Then sold him the next day. Can't trust them at all! They lay there looking all innocent until you notice one fish missing. They're hella fast when it come to feeding, no dough! Good luck with it! Got any pics?

I too have taken things out on a fish more than once until I've come to realize better that the fish is as guilty as a smoking gun in my hand. We do this to them. They have no choice and they don't choose to be nasty in our perception of the trait.

Forget catfish. Can't trust people.

This is true. It was a risk I took that ended badly faster than expected. I didn't blame the fish. I was surprised he got the arowana rather than one of the small bass in the middle of the day considering where the two species typically swim during the day. I'm looking for a larger arowana to keep in that tank now and eventually the cats will be moved to a bigger tank in the garage. I'm of the belief that fish keeping is one of the most complicated and difficult hobbies as far as keeping animals go when you consider the wide range of species and collection points available that we try to shove in a tank together.

Sometimes catfish will be okay with arowana. I had a RTC with a 36" arowana. The RTC was 3-4 feet as well. It once try to eat it whole but spit it out lol Damaged scales but was fine lol

It outgrew my 500 gallon real fast!
