If they're the same size you'll be fine. I had a tig with them when they were around 12". As long as it's too big to be considered food. These guys are living with some bichirs and no problems at all. The smallest is a 12" ansorgii and they've never messed with him
 
But won't any species of pseudoplatystome easily outgrow any bagarius? afaik pretty much all south american carnivourus catfish grow so much faster or is this false?
 
Not the B. Bagarius and yarelli. Those are the "man eaters" on river monsters growing to 8ft+. The smaller of mine I got in February this year at 4" and now it's almost the same size as the other at 18"

I feel like nothing messes with bichirs because of their innocence lol

Definitely purposely haha Mine have caught mahseers, armatus and different cats throughout the years. But mine are all lower jaw bichirs which are more aggressive than the upper jaws so that could be why

Oh, maybe lol, only LJ I have is the lap, and I have issues with him eating so. But yea mines let anything go that they don't mean to bite lol
