Just got this tank from another member this morning. Cleaning took a while. It hadn't been used in some time. It has one 42mm hole at each rear corner. Dimensions are 4'x2'x2'. I plan on sealing these up with some sch 80 bulkheads with plugs. Why? I'm going to drill in a Herbie tomorrow after I pick up the bulkheads and another drill bit. I'm probably going to do a 1 1/2" primary with the other 2 at only 1". The sump is a 4' 55 gallon I'm also re-sealing. I don't have any grand plans for it at the moment. Just a 7" filter sock, 2 gallons of eheim bio media, and a BRS carbon reactor. The return is a danner mag 9.5 at 5' of head. I will continue to post pictures of progress tonight. I do still have a paper to write tonight as well.

Drilled the tank, plugged the bottom holes, and installed the 3/4" return sch 80 bulkhead and the 2x 1" drains. I'm going with the lazy man's herbie. I could install a third bulkhead but I don't feel like its necessary.

If you have the bulkhead siting around and the drill is ready to go just add the extra bulkhead and plug it until it's needed. My advice. Good news is it holds water. Pictures to come after I glue the drains together and get it in to running condition.

It's alive! Some fine tuning is required. Knowing that all the plumbing is secure feels good. I need to put the strainer on the higher drain, and tune the gate valve. Just one 1" drain is enough to outcompete the danner 9.5 return pump I'm using.

ITS ALIVE!!!

I saved all the water from my 75 and 50 sump and have a long 20 going. I left power heads in the storage cans and am waiting for the water to hit 78 before I test the water and add the fish. It's so close to being ready.
