if i get sand i dont want white or light colored sand. i dont like how it washes out the colors of the fish. but a nice red sand or black would be nice. but where can i get it at a decent price

I know what you mean, black sand is the way to go, I currently have white sand, waiting for the right time to switch to Tahitian black moon sand. also if you want to add more fish, have you though about getting another type of catfish? something smaller than a RTC.

i am thinkin of other fish to add right now... possibly a tsn. i really want a flat head.
i broke down and put a thin layer of gravel down. it looks nice but im goin to add black sand over the top when i find some and when i have the money speeding tickets do a number on the finances
