New 125 all male peacock and Hap tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I personally think that a lot of people get bored with the current fish in their tanks especially youtubers. Can’t be repetitive on YouTube if you are actually trying to get viewers and thus sponsors. I have had a mbuna tank for pretty much 25 years with a small break when kids arrived. With the option to buy fish online and the variety that comes with that I have broadened my tanks.

It sounds more like the 2 yr. - 3yr. Keepers just lost interest. Decided to explore different avenues of the hobby. It happens.

Cool, didn’t want to invest so much time and money for something that would only last me 2 - 3 yrs. by the way is this 10 or 20? I can never tell the difference between 10 and 20 on the sheet. Looks the same to me.E967A84B-02C4-4ED4-87BC-1153670ECBC4.jpeg

For me I got tired of the continual tinkering and decided I would rather have a tank where all the fish were content and colored to their max potential...mixed gender with good ratios.

I'm also one that just got bored with an all male tank. I had one pretty much since I got into african cichlids, probably 15 years. I just got tired of having super dominant fish or fish not looking the best colored. Anytime you decide to add or remove fish theres always a chance of anarchy breaking loose until the pecking order is reestablished.

I just started with Peacocks and Haps tank this year, so hopefully it will last me a good 5-6 years before I get bored.

I can totally understand the urge to keep new type of fish. At one point of my life I had more than 18 tanks, from 10 gallon to 180 gallon. From betta to reef. Just never got into Peacock and Haps.

I could go down a very long list of different set ups & fish species roster too.
Switched to Africans six years ago.
The African community has been my favorite so far. Sort of like a marine community very colorful fish, but much more durable & disease resistant.
Not bored yet & no plans to change up anytime soon.

Cool, hope this will keep me busy for couple of years. :-)
