So it has been ages since I have posted on MFK or given any update to the tank. The project as a whole was put on hold due to financial issues (car wreck, family member needed tacking care of, etc) but now everything is running smoooooth.
Now, before anyone says that I am overstocked, know that the purchase of a bigger (looking at 400g) new tank is in the making (max 2 months till initial setup). Also, know that all the fish bellow are juvies. So far, everyone is very comfortable and happy.
Stock:
2x JDs
2x Tiger Oscars
Clown Knife
Red Pike Cichlid
Fire Eel
Pleco
As I stated earlier, financial problems caused me to not make as big of a purchase as a Fluval G6, and to be honest, I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the money.
Regardless, this is now what I am running as far as filtration for the tank. Remember from my original post, I am a filter fanatic, and love over filtering.
1x Rena Filstar XP3
1x Fluval 405
2x Marineland Penguin 305s
Unless I am doing my math wrong, I am getting about 1400GPH circulation.
Just though I would give an update.
