New 125 very cloudy after adding drift wood and rock?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well it is a brand new setup. Only had fish in it for two days, and it's only 3 baby oscars (2-3"). I'll test in the morning to see where it's at.

They will all be fine. Don't worry. I get my driftwood my self. Look at my avatar. Do a 50% water change once every 5-7 days til clear. Could easily be a month.

That sucks but oh well, guess I should have soaked it for a week or so before putting it in the tank. Lesson learned. The fish don't seem to mind it lol. Acting like typical happy oscars! The filter pads I have added to the sump have been collecting a bunch of hte brown but as soon as I try to remove them it all washes out of the filter material and back into the sump so I'm just turning off the pump when I do it. Then I drain the sump dry, fill it with some clean water and drain again to get all the horribly brown water out of the sump. Then I did another 50% change in the main tank. Still murky, but its looking better this morning after running all night so I figure by the time I get home from work late tonight it should be looking pretty good again. By the time I do this 2 or 3 more times I think it will be in good shape. Thanks for the advice.
