I had a goldfish pond by my front window in Michigan a few years back. I used to have an aereator so it [would not freeze and the goldies were fine. I would never feed the pond if the pond water went to 50 degrees or under. The fish kinda went dormant when it was cold but as long as the pond is aereated and does not freeze the fish will be fine espicially your natives.
