Would adding 2 nics, a Bifas or a Coatzocoloas, and a Lyonsi be pushing it?
I looked at Lyonsi last night and it seems hit or miss on the color. Some turn out gorgeous...the others look like poor quality Flowerhorns. Also, they seem to have a similar shape to the Loiselleis and I'm concerned there may be added conflict between the two. I have read that these are more gentle compared to other Amphilophus species.
I just finished ordering all my hardware last night so now the waiting game begins.
I get my tank delivered sometime next week...probably Saturday or Sunday. I ordered the Aquaterra Mesa Rockwall and will install those as soon as I get the tank.
Filtration: Eshopps 200 Wet Dry with a 950 GPH Mag Drive Pump
Water Circulation: SunSun 3000 lph (800 GPH) Submersible pump.
Heater: 300 watt Ebo Jager and a 200 watt Ebo Jager in the sump
Gravel: 200 lbs of PFS from Leslies
Hardscape: River boulders, Manzanita, and some left over Malaysian Driftwood I created by screwing 4 pieces together.
Lighting: 4x54 watt Aquaticlife T5HO suspended on a cadlights Light Tree about 1.5 feet above the tank for even spread. (Light is left over from my hi-tech planted tank. Shame to sell at a loss so I'll suspend it instead.)
Confirmed Fish:
- 6 Thorichthys Aureus Blue Flash
- 6 Parachromis Loisellei (thinned down over time to 2 if I'm lucky)
- 3 Cryptoheros Sajica
Considering:
- 1 Vieja Male: (Either Bifas Chacamax, Synspilum, or Coatzocoalos)
- 2 Female Nicaraguense
- 3 Cryptoheros Chetumalensis
- Amphilophus Lyonsi?
Please keep your thoughts coming! Thanks EVERYONE!
