Do some searching i have a thread just below this one talking about the same things. Good luck with your bass.

frozen brine shrimp and bloodworms. take a cube of each, thaw in the a glass with tank water and drop it in front of the filter outlet or a powerhead outlet so the food moves like it's alive. your peacock bass will snatch it right up, and in a few weeks you won't have to even thaw the cubes first anymore..

good luck! post pictures too!

you can
1. pump it up on feeders and get it off live later
2. do what morledzep said
3. add a teacher fish and get it to eat shrimp.
what species?
kep the temp high and add some salt.

you don't need to use a teacher fish to get them to eat shrimp but you do have to feed them feeders first.. p.s. keep your water at 87

I just got my guys off feeders and they are about 8". I think it is better to wait until they are more mature to change their diet. Get them some disease-free guppies, rosy reds or anything else you can catch (fatheads, crappie minnows) they will crush them as soon as they hit the water. Don't just dump them in all at once though. You have to train them to hit whatever hits the water, that way you can get them on krill and food sticks later....hope this helps

it keeps their metabolism fast and the tank free off any parasites which small cichla are susceptible too
