to keep away disease and parasites...
and also to make them grow faster out of the delicate baby stage.

Hey guys 1 more question.... How many times a day should i feed my pbass?

i feed my tiny guys twice a day.. down to every day when they get to be about 5" and down to every other day when they get to be about 8".

one of the biggest killers of fish is overfeeding..

Boosten, at what point do you drop the temp from 87?

And what temp do you keep yours at normally?

i keep the temp in all of my tanks between 82 - 86 degrees F.. even the big fish.

i leave it at 87 give or take depending on what month it is and how cold it is in the fish room but i basically keep the temp up there.

i'm slowly changing over to all titanium heaters.. but in the mean time i have to deal with temp fluctuations caused by cheap glass heaters..
