Scratch Pete from the "example" then and let's use Crystal Clear Exotics as an example, as it seems he's moved on to better things these days.
He screwed 2 people over (me being one of them) and we both left negative feedback. BUT his buddy Mike bought rays from him and left positive feedback. Now what is his feedback score? You would think -2 +1 right? Nope. Since the positive cancels out the negative his feedback score is only -1.
SOOOO.... As long as I have more positives then negatives I'll still look good. I was thinking of screwing over several people on thousand dollar rays, BUT in order to keep my feedback in "Awesome" status I'm simply going to have to sell a few more pieces of driftwood. After this is all said and done we can check my bank account and see who the clear winner is...... ME! Cause I can screw people over on several thousand dollar rays, but erase those negative marks with a few $20 driftwood sales.
What's the story here? The flawed feedback system needs addressed. Also the amount of money involved also should play a huge part. I'd much rather buy a thousand dollar ray from someone with a + feedback for a similar ray then to buy from someone who has +47 for selling a bunch of lil penny lofer cichlids. The ability to keep feedback positive when dealing with thousand dollar fish means a lot more to us raykeepers then any other transactions. No reason someone wouldn't put in the time selling hundreds of trinkets to get the opportunity for a grand or 2 for a fancy ray, then when it goes sour fall back on the feedback system to plead innocence.
