NEW 2000 Extended Pond......

I thought about putting the high fin sharks and i did have a turtle in there(male peacock slider) and he would bite the fins off the big koi cuz they move slower than the smaller ones...so no more turtle...he gets a small pond of his own. The paradise fish look awesome and will see if local fish stores have them and maybe get a few. :grinno:

Me and my sister-n-law did all of the painting for the pond. Even thought the pictures are a mixture of sea creatures and plants to pond plants i think it looks really cool and with the water in the pond it makes it look like everything is real.
 
Any luck in finding "exotics" for the pond?

No not yet the only thing i found was lfs that sold sturgeons but he wasn't sure which kind he was selling and so i didn't purchase it...i was going to put Rtc in there but then was told if he got big enough he could eat my koi and goldfish so that is out. I am going to put in a few High fin sharks but still waiting for them to come in. Other than that i am at a loss on what else to put in there.....my lfs told me that some guy put 20 electric blue and yellow chiclids in his pond last year and they all survived (we are in southern California), but i don't know how true that is. I don't really have any luck with other exotics around here cuz i can not find anyone that sells them and i don't know about catching them cuz i think it is illegal to catch native fish and bring them home to be put in captivity. This sucks :nilly:
