small planted community.. i have a bolivian with a bunch of neons. looks great cause the fish accent each other with colors. if you like africans, maybe shellies? i've heard they're interesting.. or a family of bricardi, they are pretty tough little fish.
SW is deffinitely not worth it on a 20 gallon, you would have to put alot of money into it, but if you got the money go ahead 
. If you want an easier salt tank i would advise getting the oceanic biocube as it has everything you need at a decent price considering how expensive lights are for salt tanks
