Finally sold off all my other fish, had this 210 left and didn't have any buyers for about 3 weeks. So I decided to set it up with natives. I just filled it up today, sometime this week I will be adding fish. Nothing big like what I had in the 500.
Stock will be:

Longear Sunfish
Warmouth
Rock bass
Madtom
Green Sunfish
Hognose
Crappie
Redear Sunfish
Striped of Golden Shiners
Darters and Log Perch- I will have more rocks for hiding places
Sculpin if I can ever catch one in a sein
Stoneroller

Will only have a few of each, 2-3, with the exception of the Longear, I may add about 10.

I currently have a Madtom and Longear in the 29, the bigger of the Longear's killed the other.

What would you give up a 500 gallon for?! Are you in need of a mental reevalutation? Jk. But really... Lol

Needed to down size, save money, was moving, etc. It sucked but got to do what needs to be done for a while till I get a house. We just had a major storm here, was going to go out tomorrow and start on adding fish but that may have gotten pushed back till the creeks are ready again.

Completely understandable. I would say that you would pass a mental evaluation then. Good luck with collecting and I hope once you're settled in the new house that you can go even more monster yet again.

My plans are a 1000 gallon peacock bass tank, though a 1000 gallon native tank would be cheaper :)

I've still got the Ultima II 10,000 so the filter is there, just need the tank and pump and I'm set.

Hmmm I think if I were stuck with the decision of pbass or natives id no doubt go pbass. Natives are awesome and all but you just cant beat pbass, their colors and looks mixed with their monster habits are just unmatchable imo. But natives will cost a whole lot less because they wont require a heater which will cost a lot on such a large tank. And then the fish are free depending on where you get them from. And pbass depending on what type you get can cost thousands. I love both natives and pbass but id go with the pbass no doubt :D. And if you get bored of them you can always try out natives. Either way good luck with your decision and I cant wait to see the tank set up with whatever you choose to put in it. Definetly a monster tank!

Id take natives over cichla any day of the week. I love natives. All i keep is natives. Although i would like to try arros, Clown knifes, clown loaches, and rays one day.
