New 220 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's crazy I've had these 2 for about 3 years well my mom had them for about 2 and me the last year started in a 55 gallon till they got about 6 inches then I got them and put em in a 90 now the 220
I rescued a ray that a lfs said could live for a while in a 20g thank and would eventually need a 55g. It went from a 29 (very briefly) to a 75, to 150...for now...

hmm..you may be able to turn their growth rate around by good feeding

sounds like these pacu haven't been fed properly if they are 5 years old.

they should grow at a rate of about 1 inch per month.

i had a pacu in the 90's that I grew to 18" in a year in a half. by that point he was eating two handfulls of floating pellets per day.

try feeding them some good pellets or sticks etc supplementing them with some veggies and see how they do.

nice tank btw. awesome size.

but be warned that if they begin to grow well, you have limited time for them in that tank.
