New 24 foot tank...need stocking advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Man that's a really nice tank you've got there and I'd definitely love to see some arowanas in it. Keep us Posted!

i'd go with 4 silver arowana's, couple of dats, peacock bass, DEF some cat's-redtail or 2 or else a TSN, and some other stuff.

looken good Blaker!!

It looks like you have a Convict cichlid and a Blue Acara or possibly a Acara\Green Terror Hybrid, I had one of them before and they are pretty nasty...

I've started taking in unwanted fish and fish that have outgrown there tanks.

he isnt looking for new fish.... people have been giving him fish. so I dont kno why people are telling him to get a whole bunch of aro's and ray's. besides that I dont think it is wide enough for ray's.

Going to a cottage this weekend to get big drift wood and golf ball sized river rocks for substrate.

.

It's probably too late for this advice, but it'sgoing to be hard to keep that substrate clean. (You can't vacumm substrate that big) Try to find a rock supplier that sells red flint gravel in about 1/4 inch size. That's what I did.

Unless you have a heavily planted tank, you are going to have to gravel vac occasionally..

Very impressive tank...def needs some more pictures...I just read this thing all the way through. What is your current stock list and how/what do you feed? I cant even imagine what it would be like to sit in front of that bad boy all day at work! I wish I could have a little fish tank at work...maybe in our new building I will just sneak it in haha
