Well at there present size this size should be enough, but when it starts to get crowded in there i can always do a bit of load shedding or even make a new bigger tank

yeah even i thought of adding some substrate, but then thought of all the monster poop of the gars arowana n bichir and how difficult it would be to clean, hence going for a bare bottom tank.

i had the same problem but it very easy to solve,just get few more bigger catfish's,catfish's eat everything,I don't even have to clean my sand with a vacuum because my fish's do it for me.
