New 240

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also if anyone has any input on decoration let me know. My 55 gallons all have the stuff you can get at petsmart and fake plants. Very pricey stuff, and eh, I dunno, looks kind of tacky. I have a large piece of driftwood, maybe 16-18" long, but I'll need more than that.

Stock will definitely be the EBJDs, but still trying to decide on black versus natural colored gravel. Either way it will be as little gravel as possible.

lay black tile on the bottom, or go bare bottom..

lol I like the bottle of nyquil and the shotglass on your desk . :)

Beautiful tank BTW I drool in envy. I would have such a sick bichir collection in there! And your filtration system seems plenty solid for even a mildly heavy stock! Are you going to have to cycle it ?

Thank you! The "plan" is to put some feeder guppies in for a couple of weeks. Then it will be like a thanksgiving day meal when the new fish move in.

Lookin really good. I have about 30lbs of mopani/malaysian driftwood for sell here soon. I'll let it go for cheap its just the shipping might cost ya. Already for tank just a quick scrubbing and your good to go!

Missed this post, let me know how much you think shipping will run. I found a local shop finally that doesn't charge an arm and a leg (or maybe just an arm), so I may be able to get it locally. I'm just not sure if they have anything big enough.

Finally got the stand finished (weather delays), and inside. I used 100+ lbs of Tahitian black sand. It looks great in person. Hopefully this and the black background will really bring out the color in the EBJDs.

Filtration hasn't arrived yet, and I haven't found a local source for enough Bio Max either yet. I also tripped my circuit breaker shortly after turning on the heater. I'll have to consider running an extension cord from another outlet, or maybe moving some of my aquariums into another room. The living room is on a 15amp circuit.
