New 240g stocking geophagus red head center piece

Hello everyone,

Putting a new 240 together.

I am going to center this around red head geo’s.

Using 3 fx6 for filtration.

Building a stock list and would love some ideas.

My idea is to grow some stock I currently have.

8 red heads 3 inch
1 flagtail 4 inch
1 l24 4 inch
1 l25 3 inch
1 5 inch blue eyed red sailfin pleco
3 turquoise red spotted severum 3 inch
6 clown loach two-3 inch
5 Roseline shark 3 inch.
2 rainbow cichlids

Black sand tank lots of driftwood caves and plants.

Any suggestions or opinions on stocking. I have multiple tanks so I can move around.

Looks good but I always get annoyed at myself for mixing-
MAybe drop the last 3 species and keep it SA?

Agreed. I’d recommend a more tannish brownish sand as well.

Pool filter sand works too. I mix those two together.

The top level might look empty. A top dweller like some Pink tail chalceus?

Why you say tan/beige substrate?

A lot of geos colors pop better on a lighter substrate.
