Stockin I'm thinking rays and an arrowana

Nice man nice! going to look awesome stocked!! Are you only putting k1 into your sump? Good informative video. I've personally never used a sump. But would definitely like to in the future! Are you planning on a substrate, or just keeping it clean?
Yeah just planning on around 50l of k1. An I'm going to add pool free sand soon just haven't got the money atm and I heard it doesn't cloud your water up to bad so thought I would get it filled and when I add it jus turn the sump off for a couple of hours

Sounds like a plan! Remember to still wash your sand, I would put it in a bucket and run a hose into it to see how the water goes.
Yeah I will do any idea how much sand it will take to get a layer around 1/2 inch??

I will be setting up a similar one for my gars: 60*40*24" (250g if I did the conversions properly) with a 40*16*16" sump that I have with no use atm.
However, I am finding the sump a bit on the small size and may add "something" (a tote or a cubic tank )to it. So, I´m interested to see how is yours operating, specially what is the water level your are able to operate it with without having an overflow should the return pump stop.
I would also like to see how you will be setting the K1 media reactor. In the sump or separated? Operated with air or pump?
p.s.: rugby player, hey? Forward or 3/4? I played for around 10 years (in the 80´s to 90´s)

I had to put 50-60kg in my 180 gallon, so a ****load. I'd buy 4-5 bags to be safe, they're cheap.
I have the sump filled around 12 inches and when I turn the pump off it doesn't overflow. I am going to run air to move my k1 around. And I play flanker mate what position were you?
