jelly i just picked up 50 cherry barbs and put them in there...it doesn't even acknowledge they are there

The contrast of the 50 tiny red barbs and the massive wolf must look awesume. We need to see pic of that. Make sure you keep it fed. doesn't have to be big meals just enough to take the edge off the hunger.

I now have two aimara in comm setups.

12" maybe 14" with three large SD's in a 6x3. going on a month or so now. They do stay well out of his way though.

I pulled my Black wolf and Fowleri cat out of my 8 and dropped the large aimara in. Aimara and Brycon and large VATF. So far so good, 3 days in, quite a bit of flow to keep them occupied. Only seen a couple of small movement to make me nervous. Video to come in a couple of days, as long as it is still working out.:screwy:

how's the temperament of your aimara adjusting to the new environment ?

why dont pull out the vatf , just try it with brycons

Typical not eating while getting used to the new tank. Was well fed before the move though. Seems to shoal with the others and hovers in the flow. occational move looking like it's going to bite something but more of a push to show who's boss.

I would love to have moved the ATF but pushing 16", bit to big for anything less than the 8'

seen how you shift it to the tank in my facebook....
i like what you feed them with....
can you believe that RBP is banned in my country and not aimara...

The barbs are doing great! i'm going to put neons in there when i get back but it looks amazing with the size difference. Jelly thats crazy mixing them you got to post a vid when you get a chance i wanna see that. You think because of the stronger water flow helps out with aimara leaving the other fish alone?

no man thats a american gator i like them way better i wanna build a huge indoor rescue for them in New englandso people stop letting them go. Thats my next project i'm going to start late spring.

One of the local names in brazil for the giant trahira is "piranha eater or piranha killer"
Eating piranha is a common food staple for the Aimara.

i had mixed my 14 inches Aimara with 8 inches Giant snake head. They stay together for 2 weeks. Now i had put the flag tail 6 inch in this tank too. My tank is 48*20*20 inches. I will show you the picture.:)
