Hey low what made you want to upgrade from the 220? Was it not big enough or something?

Did they tell you how much the tank would weigh dry? I heard they are like 1K.

I'm glad you asked, I completely forgot to ask them about it. I just called them and spoke to Beth. I asked her the exact dimensions, including all the overflow dimensions. She was very helpful. I said thank you and hung up. Then I remembered that I wanted to know the weight so I called back. She just kind of laughed and told me that it weighs approximately 650 pounds that that styrofoam actually comes with it on the pilot.

Price is a little higher but Andy at Tropicalfishstore.com made me a hell of a deal on a Tenecor acrylic 96 x 36 x 25. Think I gave a little more for the tank but hey its acrylic, and its Tenecor which means lifetime guarantee. He gave me a smoking deal on the whole turnkey package stand and all. I shopped around quite a bit and the closest quote to him for the exact same stuff was over $1000 higher. Not to mention he shipped it all to my door for FREE. I almost got one of glasscages.com's tanks but when I found this deal on a Tenecor I thought it was worth the little bit of extra cheese.

Where you at in Texas? I had a tank made by Marineland about a year ago, it was 85 inches long, 30 inches wide and 24 inches tall. I may be looking to upgrade.

I would like a 48 inch wide tank.

The 210 I have now is "only" six feet long and I have wanted an eight foot "monster" tank for a very long time. Also the extra six inches of width will be pretty nice. :)

Since I just purchased a couple of dovii I figured this is a good time to do it, before they have a chance to grow up. Now I just have to decide which fish are going to stay in which tank.

How many people are you bringing to get it setup into place?

I'm going to try to get six people. The biggest problem is that I can't carry anything heavy for a few more weeks. If I would try to carry the tank right now I would be back in for knee surgery and starting this whole recovery thing all over again.

Yeah that wouldn't be good. My knees are all jacked up atm. I'm trying to get ready for a triathlon and did the mercedes marathon/half marathon to work up to it. Running that far killed my knees. Its been 2 weeks and I still can't walk up stairs.

I just had surgery for a torn meniscus, while they were in there they found a lot of arthritis so they scraped that off. On top of that they found that my patella does not track correctly so they had to do a lateral release. I have barely been off the couch for the past two weeks.

I haven't been on a bike in months, I'm bored out of my mind. I should be doing my first race of the season this weekend. Instead I have to miss this season and start training for next year already. I am going to try to do the Cheat Mountain Challenge in August though. It is 114 miles total with over 10,000 feet of climbing. Last time I did it in 6:41. It hurt like hell!!!
