im currently re-setting up my 29 and i started with tiger barbs. they are a good choice for me b/c they dont get too big so i wont have to get a larger tank. death sting is right, they can nip at longer fins so if you plan on angels or gouramis they are not compatiable.
silver dollars, bala sharks, and rainbow sharks grow kind of fast but, giant danios dwarf gouramis and angels are fun. good luck!
