entrails = organs

ah, feel dumb for asking now lol.

I will feed him the full octopus and full smelts... he gets everything including the organs.... the sliced cuts are more expensive i feed eyes, fins, liver, what ever comes with the package.

Um DSB can deal with nitrates but at the same time if your fish distrube the bed to much then
a) it wont work
b) it will produce some mad toxins to kill everything haha (nitrites, nitrates, ammonia, sulphates etc) suffice to say DSBs, at least in main displays (remote is different) can be quite good, but usualy only in quiet systems. That and a proper DSB requires ultra fine sand like under .125mm grains which is rather hard to find, but at the same time apparently the type of sand is irrelivent.

Hm yea it seemed out of the question for me... lol

The green likes to dig in the sand then twirl in circles..

Thats good, as most of the best nutrients are in the organs haha

Ah i plan on getting a tang... leaning towards a Sohal Tang at the moment... Would really like a unicorn though, a big male. $ for those are a bit much though.

could i feed them from my algae scrubber?

Well, the Vlamginii tang grows around 4" a year so if you have a smaller tank you could get a little one and with proper feeding (aka always have macros and nori clipped in the tank) that sucker would be 8" in 2 years haha (from a tiny one) or if you start with a 4" you will have a 12" in 2 years and so on, so if you have a tank you could use as a growout then that would cut costs, but not be instant gratification.

sohal wouldnt be a bad choice in a pred system, as they are way to aggressive in reefs (pick on everyone), but in preds not a bad idea. rather pricey though.

They have a 12inch one at my lfs for 250$.

Would the scrubber algae be able to feed the tang?

Ah wow just remembered Vlamginii and unicorn are the same... The female/male thing just plagued my head lol
