I have been tinkering with this tank for about 6 months now, and finally decided to get a 3d background from Designbynature.

The first picture is before and the rest after install. Sorry for the poor quality photos. I am using my phone. Need to get a better camera for things like this.

Anyways, I still need to play with the lighting but let me know what you think!

I really like it. I do have a question though...is it just the angle of the pics, or does that background take up a bunch of tank space? Looks in the pics that it takes up a good bit of room. Looks really really nice either way. What size tank is that?

^ i have the same question?

But must admit it does look really sweet with the background, basically a world of difference...

That is the big disadvantage of these 3D backgrounds. I got a slim line version because

1) The 8 -12 inches of space I was looking at was way more than I want to lose(even if I can hide stuff behind it).
2) These backgrounds don't fit through the standard acrylic tank openings.

But a great looking tank!

Ahhhh.... In that case id take the slim down version too, even though this is a beautiful background it really does take up a little too much...

Not to mention i dont think i can pull my in/outlets through the middle of my lid...

I looked at the slim line, but really liked the tree roots in the middle. I dont mind loosing alittle tank space. Just need to cut my stock down some.

As far as more plants, I actually pulled alot out trying to make it alittle more simple. What does eveyone else think? Does the tank need more? Less? Any suggestions on what else to do to really make it pop?
