Thank john,it was a ***** moving this fish just 4 hours,lol.

I used both calculations and come out with 35-40 lbs.

i named him slurpee.

Good name xD

lol nice name. I would have to keep something like that some day.

HOLY CRAP! that thing IS a monster, it boggles the mind how he grew it that big in a 180! good hes got a good home now, i was hoping someone would nab him when i saw the thread

I know the fishing record is only 20 something pounds but it was just opened a few years ago. There are reports of this fish weighing more than 75 lbs in the wild. So he still has room to grow. I used a calculator to estimate the weight of my 38" rtc x tsn hybrid at around 35 lbs. I'll have to see if I can't find the same one. I plan on getting a couple of these for my 4000 gal once it's finished. Good luck with that monster. You probably won't notice the growth on it until you move it again. I don't really notice the growth on my hybrid until it's time to move tanks, then it's like wtf?!? lol. It is a really awesome monster. Like most catfish it should grow slowly for the rest of it's life.

Holy crap!!!! It's huge!!! I'm extremely impressed.
