NEW 55 GAL. (think it will work?)

i already asked this somewhere else, but i think this is a more appropriate place for it..

So i have a 55gal. tank and am wanting to get back into the hobby..i have been thinking a lot about what fish i want to put in it, and this is what im thinking as of right now.....

Rocket Gar

And the following catfish:
Pim Pictus(maybe more then just 1)
Sorubim lima
Whiptail Catfish

Do you think that this mix would work? If so, then do you think a 55gal. is big enough? If so to that, then do you think i could fit more then just one Pictus, how many?...

If you dont think this would work, then why, and what could i possibly do to make it work?(other then get a bigger tank..because i already have the 55.)...

everything excpet the Lima cuase thye get 18" and need 150 MINIMUM

i have also been wondering/thinking...i have come to find that the rocket gars do a lot better in groups. so what about needle nosed gars, do they need to be im groups? do you think they would be a better bet? or should i stick with the rockets, since they stay a little smaller??

forget the lima add 2 more rockets and forget the needle nose
 
so what everyone is saying is,
get:
1 x bichir(senegal)
3 x rockets
1 x pictus(or more?)
and
1-2 x whiptail

is that right?
synodontisjack, you said i could add 3 more pictus. i would like to, but wouldnt that be a lot of/to much fish?
