Dont add 3 more pictus, what you have is good, pictus can reach sizes of 12 inches, thats a lot of fish... what you have planned out will make for a nice interesting tank

A pictus will never reach 12 inches it will top out at 4 if youre lucky 5 but never 12, anyway here is what i would do:
2x rocket gar
1x senegal bichir
3x pictus
1x whiptail
2x rocket gar
1x senegal bichir

ok..thats it then..

i have to leave for some military training for a few days...but when i get back in a couple weeks, i'll get these babies and take a few pics for everyone..
when i do get them tho, should i get the bichir sometime before i get the gars? so it has time to grow a little, so its not seen as lunch. or will it be fine to get them at the same time?
....on a side note, i would also like to add that i just got back today from lallapalooza in chicago, where i got the chance to see rage against the machine!
i have been wanting to see them since grade school, and it was by far the best show of all time!!!

ok..today i went to my lfs and asked them about the senegal bichir. they said when ordered, they come at about 4-5 inches, i was thinking they would only be 1 or 2. so thats great, now i dont have to worry about it getting eaten. so if all goes as planed, i should have some pics on around the 22nd ish...
