New 55 gallon native setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bass is around 4.5" not big at all. I'm now down to 3 creek chubs he's been eating at least one a day. Still surprisingly have all of my sunnies I think the bass finds it more entertaining to chase them instead of catch and eat them.

he probably just isn't hungry enough for them yet, cool stuff

I love your Pumpkinseeds .....but I have to agree that when that Bass gets big enough all the rest will become food.

Just looked over my shoulder and my bass is on the prowl again. Lost a pumpkinseed finally im suprised he didnt take it quicker. It was werid he doesnt even have a buldge in his stomach so I thought the pumpkinseed was a jumper but I havent found him on the floor. Besides that everythings looking good although of my 3 crayfish I've only been seeing my smallest one hmmm

An update for the tank so far all sunfish are accounted for turns out my one pumpkinseed was hiding. All creek chubs on the other hand have been eaten or killed by the bass. I did end up getting a channel cat from my lfs and after a hepatic day and a rough acclimation the cat wasn't doing too well. I stayed up a majority of the night keeping it alive to find my bass ended up eating him yesterday morning. So yesterday I picked another one up and it's doing fine. I did rearrange a few rocks and bought a piece of driftwood from a thrift store for $1.50 it was a steal. I washed it cleaned it and let it soak for a few days and it looks great. Also picked a few small plants up. Hope you enjoy.

Another quick update my bulb burnt out for my light so I'm pretty ticked off about that. Next the bass seems to be getting larger and his tank mates are disappearing. So far both of the pumpkinseeds, shiner, and one green sunny have bit the dust. The bass will need the swimming space after eating all of that
