New 55 gallon!!

Fire eel in a 55g? I've seen a full grown fire eel in a local aquarium exhibit. A 55g is too cramped IMO.

I've never seen tiger barbs that big. Where did you see them that big? Also, gulpers are not suitable with the other fish you suggested.

I see a couple of you said that Jack D's would be a good choice for my 55 gallon. I was just wondering if anybody can give me some info on this fish's care. Also you say they breed easily and was wondering how you tell the sex of the fish? Lastly I wanted to know about the Bichirs a few of you recommened. Would they be able to stay in a 55gal for their entire life?

He has to be facetious , Ive seen 9" gulpers eat 6" goldfish

At an LFS display tank...All they're fish are oversized....Huge zebra loaches altough there are some smll fish like 3'' gulpers and some big angels wich are 'bout 10''???They're probs wild tho =]]

Maybe it's the glass magnifying the fish???
