The fish in the 3rd picture is a female. YOur going to have to wait until the other get their colors to sex them
Your jacks might be light because of the sand. Or they might just need to be more settle in.

only the second day mate. They still dont trust the environment. Give it a few weeks

once they realize your there to feed them and look after them...theyll be fine.

you should also consider the unhealthy environment they just came from. cheers

Thanks guys. Well they've been in there about 5 or 6 days now. They're getting a little better and not hiding quite as much.

But I went out all day yesterday then came home to a half dead little bgjd :( moved him into my big tank, but found him dead this morning.

Could the other ones be starting to pair?...I didn't think any of my big ones were male?
And I think that one is pairing with the regular Jack dempsey female I got(if anything)...they sit in the same big pot most of the time together. Sometimes the regular female JD will nip so the other one leaves... I think it's the regular female JD that is the one who is killing all the other fish.

I still need to get pics of the tank. But I have more things in the tank now, and the black background.
