I just got a 6: snakehead, and I am very excited. Currently he is in my 20g quarantine tank just to make sure everything is okay with him, in a day or so I will move him to my 125g. Will post pics as soon as i pick up some camera batteries. Hopefully somebody will be able to tell me what KIND of snakehead he is :). I got him from a trusted lfs, they are incredibly knowledgable about fish. Just for the sake of a second opinion, however, how aggressive are they as adults? Will he be fine with a Silver Arowana and 3 Oscars? Exactly how big do they get? Thanks for your help!

Will be able to confirm things with a picture.
How about a little description? I could probably tell you from that too.

pm -DC- he got some aurantis and bleheris from an importer, i think he lives in ontario or montreal. If you're serious about getting snakeheads you can get them imported otherwise yeah, it sis pretty hard to get SH in canada.

PS im not sure if they're illegal, i've heard from multiple sources saying they are and aren't. Whatever the case regulations on snakeheads are VERY slack in Canada and if you want them you should be able to get them with ease.

They are illegal in Ontario but not in Quebec as well as other provinces. To find out if there legal in your area, my advice is to contact your local MNR office:)

Nice to talk to you again chronick, under better circumstances:D

Haha, then it sucks for people who live in ontario. btw why are SH banned in ontario? i always though the temperatures were too cold, even for argus. It can easily get to -10 if im not mistaken.
