It depends. I have a African cichlid tank and I dont even use my heater right now actually. My tank stays at 80-81 degrees without the heater.

I should have elaborated more. It would depend on how many degrees you need to raise the tank.

Im not an expert on this (It doesnt get very cold where I live) but I would guess that you might need two 200-250w heaters to raise a 75gal 10 degrees. Someone else probably has better knowledge and experience in that area than me though.

you may find that just the two AC110's are enough and you may not need to add a canister later. I run a 65 with 2 AC110's (well stocked) and its fine.

as far as heating goes, usually 3 watts per gallon should be fine, so you may find that one 250W heater will do the trick.\

Thanks for all the help, just ordered two AC 110's, two visitherm stealth 200w heaters, canopy, and light.
