New 75 Gallon

well actually the Aquaclear 500 is form my 55 gallon and the 2 penguin 150's are from my 30 gallon. All the filters have been in use for over 2 months so I decided to let it cycle for just about 12 hours and then put the fish in since the filters already had so much beneficial bacteria built up in them.
 
Also yeah the oher fish in there are 4 male convicts from my other tank. I gave my friend 2 females and he gave me to males. So that i wouldnt have any breeding so the convicts wont be to aggresive.
 
Looks good. I would change the background to something a little less busy. Might also want to add some plants or other decor with a little height.

Looks good so far. A plan black background would look alot better IMO. and mabey a few pieces of driftwood or a couple large rocks. also, if your keeping the flower pots in there, you should remove the stickers on them.

Ha - when my teenage daughter buys a hat, she leaves the big sticker on it - it's "cool" that way. I guess you kids aren't old enough to remember Minnie Pearl

I guess I'm alone in liking the green background. I'd like to see something tall in there somewhere - I'll think about it.
 
thanks alot I really appreciate the come a long way comments haha. And yea your talking about 59/50 hats lol. Personally there not really my thing lol. But yea Ill deffinitley try out a more plain background. Thanks for the advice.

So you know of this hat thing, I thought it was just kids here being weird.

I like the background, but I'm a girl so I guess that doesn't count. :p I like black backgrounds, too, but not for black fish. Can't really talk, though, because my sickening red background and matching gravel was picked out by a 9-year-old.

How about some tall plants to draw the eyes up from the lighter bottom (and hide some of the intakes from the 20 filters you're running LOL). You'll need to use fake ones because you've got the cons in there. These are nice, they're really tall and the ends float at the top of the tank like real plants. My fish swim all through them like a jungle gym and the ropefish even lay on the branches to rest.
