It's acrylic and is 1" thick all around. The tank empty weighs 960lbs. Can you imagine if it were glass! It took 8 guys to lift my tank empty onto my stand and we were struggling. All up and running my tank with stand and gravel is estimated at about 8000lbs! 4 tons! Not too many houses this tank will go in. hehe. That's why it's in me garage, plus if I get a major leak- no big deal just sweep the water out.

What is that brown fish in the last picture? Very nice...all i could pay attention to though was the Lince Cat...LOVE IT!!
