I personally wouldn't worry about salt. If the fish is eating and being kept in a stress free envionment with clean water and the appropriate parameters (pH/Hardness/TDS/Conductivity - don't forget these, it's not just Nitrate) it will heal over time.
I feel people often exacerbate health situations by trying too hard to treat it too quickly. It's not that bad of a case of HITH.
