If you want a Festae for sure, then you might wanna add a texas, salvini, jackl dempsey (maybe) and a texas.
No please dont do that. 1 female festae would be perfect for a 90g, adding another cichlid will cause problems.Mystix212;1108664; said:If you want a Festae for sure, then you might wanna add a texas, salvini, jackl dempsey (maybe) and a texas.

Mystix that is very poor advice, you do know they are talking about a 90g??

I personnaly never think its a good idea to plan on getting juveniles for an "average" sized tank because you're going to... "get a bigger tank later." Plans change as we all know and sometimes we end up in a bind by doing things that way. Then we're stuck for a while and the fish suffer. I did it myself with my JD in a 30 but had the $ stashed for my 90 when I needed it, thank goodness
Why not just get the female festae for now, then get the others established in the bigger tank down the road? Once they all grow up together, you could add the festae at "the right time." This will also allow you to gage the agression levels of all of the fish with the minimum amount of possibility for losing fish to the festae.
if I were you... my first priority would be to move outta the house. Then you could get any sized tank you want![]()

This question demands a two part response, one is that the answer is specimen specific, meaning a psycho convict killing a timid RD.The other answer i cannot say on here to you.smallguy;1109686; said:So what cichlid could hold there own against a festae?
smallguy;1109686; said:thank you very much for the advice, i still have a week or so till i get the 90 up and running, that will let me think about what i wanna do.
haha i wish i could move out of the house but the house isnt the problem. its the job. im in college with a free ride as long as i graduate. once i graduate ill have a 6 figure paycheck but right now im broke and can really only afford this 90 gal complete with everything i need that i got for 200.
