New 90 Gallon - Python or No Python Siphon?

buy it and buy the shortest one. All you have to do then uis go to Menards or whatever hardware store you use and buy longer tubing. I bought a generic python for 20 bucks. Spent 20 bucks on tubing and now have a 100' python. I don't even want to know much a 100' python would have cost me. It's great though I fill up my basement tanks from upstairs

I hook my python up to my garden hose and it damn near sucks the gravel out of the bottom of the tank.
Do you have running water or are you still getting it from the well in the back?

pythons rock man! only think i feel bad about is that it waste fresh water to create the suction to empty the tank. other than that its great. and when you refill you don't to turn the pressure up high. you can let it trickle and adapt to the temp slowly that way. plus it has less chance or sprouting leaks at the connections.

Start the suction with water then put drain end down and shut water off, siphon will continue. If you use adaptor and hook to an inside faucet you can add some warm water to the mix for temperature regulation. At least that's what works for me.
i did without for six years, then got one. i'll never go back. i love mine. at one time i have a 150g, a 75g, 2 30gs and a 10g. i could siphon and refill all in less than an hour.
I would not be a fish head with out one. Mine has 60 feet of hose to reach all the different tanks.
BTW: I use the gravity method because I am on well/septic and do not wish to add all that water to the septic system.

Does the python come with the attachments to connect it to the garden hose instead of the sink? I want to drain it outside, but fill it up with the sink.
