Just picked thisb tank up for 80 bucks http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/fod/3206094175.html

Its a 90g with stand hood and light I think it's a steal at 80 bucks let me know if you think other wise I can still back out. It holds water already checked. Standard 90 measurements.

Anyways I'm fairly new to the hobby currently have 5 tanks running 55,60,15,10,and 5 so this will be my first "big boy tank". In terms of being 18 in depth and I understand that opens up a lot more options.

So I really don't have any specific plans for this tank I just jumped on it when I saw it. So any ideas or options I'm into all kinds of fish I have an mbuna nk and a sa cichlid tank with sevrum geo nd Dempsey and some loaches the smaller tanks re community and breeder.

I think I want to do strictly larger fish but that's about as fr as I've gotten. I was thinking maybe 1 tiger Oscar s I've always wanted one but never had the space. But that got me thinking what other ish have I passed over because they got to big.

L.S.S. what fish did you put in your first larger tank and what would you fill your open 90 with?

Thanks!

well I came up with something with the help of a member
1 tiger oscar
1 chocolate
1 texas blue
1 green terror
5 clown loaches
1 green phantom pleco
1 salt queen pleco
A school of something maybe tiger barbs?

Anyways hows that sound 10x filtration 50% water changes a week could I add more fish or am I pushing it?

Have you considered Geo's. There are several species and they have color, personality, and are readily available. Check out Jeff Rapps at www.TangledUpinCichlids.com
He has some great stuff!!! I would look into several Geophagus R. Tapajos and possibly some other Geo's (Eartheaters).

that list seems really heavy. .

90s are the same as a 75 just the 90 is taller and remember the 75 is minimum for one Oscar if you really want 2 happy fish without fighting..

the Oscar will eat the tiger barbs also.
